London Premiere - did it really happen?

I'm back home again after the most incredible four days of my life. The X-Files - I Want To Believe was sooo worth six years of waiting. Like, duh. =)

Here's my somewhat crazy story from the London premiere:

Me (left) and my lil sis, Jojo, arrived on the 29th - nervous as hell.

Ready to go...

Leicester Square.

Inside the Empire, screening 2 (not the 'fans screening' unfortunately). Chris & Frank (this is where I started to cry)...

...and David & Gillian (if I'm not mistaken, they were holding hands as they walked in)...

...presented the film. My pics are a bit blurry, but I was really quite close, like the fourth row.

As usual, David and Gillian were H-I-L-A-R-I-O-U-S. When asked by the questioner to play a short scene from the film:

GA: MULDEEEER!

DD: SCULLAAY! I didn't know you were ovulating!

Gillian then admitted that working with David again was a pain in the ass, whereas David started to leave the scene. =)

I hardly need to say this, but the film was AMAZING.

After the premiere Jojo and I decided to go for a walk...and (not entirely) accidentally ended up outside Claridges where I knew that at least David was staying. There were a couple of other fans there as well who were waiting for Chris (we missed David by ten minutes!)...and so we joined them on the pavement. Somewhat overdressed, I might add. We started talking to one of the (cute!) photographers who was really sweet (he even recognized us from the red carpet) and promised that he'd send me his photos from the premiere. Then, when Chris finally arrived...

...I went up to him to ask for a picture, the photographer just started shooting away! The other paparazzis then joined him (!) and the whole thing became really awkward. For Chris too it seemed...

Later on, Uncle Frank arrived. Cute as a button, as always =)

And this is where the crazy part starts. Chris came out again and went up to me and Jojo and asked: "I'm a bit curious about you two, who are you?"
We were totally shocked and all I could say was something like: "We're fans. From Sweden. Just here for the premiere."
"Ok", he said. "I thought it might be some tabloid trying to set me up."
I seriously didn't understand a single word the man was saying. I was like: "NO! What? Why? Set you up? Us?"
He just kinda waved it off and smiled, signed a few more autographs and posed for more photos.
And that's when I said it: "Chris, I think I'm in love with you".
And that's when HE said it: "My wife would be VERY jealous!"
Oh, well... =)

July 31st: After about two hours of sleep, I joined the 3,5 hour long signing queue outside The Forbidden Planet. I debated whether or not to wear my sunglasses when approaching Chris...but decided not to, and when he recognized me and said: "Aren't you the girl from last night?" I explained the whole paprazzi thing and said I was really sorry. He said it was ok, and gave me that Chris Carter surferboy smile. LOVE HIM!

The pap photos have now surfaced online, and my new nickname is (quite fairly) Crazy CC Cuddle Fan. (Thanks to Philiater)

The rest of my time in London was spent on a rainy, albeit lovely, X-Philes Hyde Park picknick, private IWTB screening at The Dome, private GA Fund Raiser screening at the Empire, XF merchendise shopping spree and generally trying to process everything that had happened - and the film.

I guess that looking back, these six years have been extreeemely long. But thinking back on the last six months or so, I've probably had the best roller coaster of my life. Why I'd do it all over again. You hear that, Chris? Frank? Bring on XF3!

Thanks to all X-Philes for sharing this craziness that no one else will ever understand.

Peace out /Ems =)
